Fully Catered Finger Food Details
For functions up to 40 heads 1 caterer is present and is unable to leave the kitchen area
due to safety and health reasons. In this case we are able to place the platters onto a serving
bench or table next to the kitchen. Guests can either help themselves to the food or the host can
put a couple of platters around where the guests are situated. We supply the platters, serviettes,
sauces etc so that we can offer your guests a wide variety of food without them having to leave
their group of friends. We then clean up, take all the dirty utensils and our rubbish with
us. If you are unsure by all means please ring and enquire.
For functions over 40 heads 2 or more caterers are present. One in the kitchen cooking
and one serving the guests.
At any sized Fully Catered Finger Food we serve continually for 2 hours with no limit to the
amount of food. We supply the platters, serviettes, sauces etc so that we can offer your guests a
wide variety of food without them having to leave their group of friends. We then clean up, take
all the dirty utensils and our rubbish with us.
What do you, the Customer, need to supply? We only need a domestic kitchen to work from
as all our food is pre-cooked at our shop and only needs reheating. Your kitchen needs to be clean
and clear of all nick knacks, books, photos, kettle etc. We cannot share kitchens due to safety and
health, for the time we are at your function the kitchen needs to be ours alone. If you do not have
a suitable kitchen please enquire as we can bring a portable kitchen at added cost. If you’re
unsure please enquire! We also need clear and easy access and to park close due to the amount of
boxes to bring in out.
Hints and Tips
This is a great menu for special occasions. Allow enough room for us on the day, a poorly
organized function can sour a happy occasion. Place your drinks, bar and tea and coffee away from
the kitchen. A lot of people want to wash their glasses and to get a glass of water so often it is
better to set up an area elsewhere eg, the laundry.
Many people add to this menu to cater for Vegetarians, Celiacs, Vegans etc which we are happy to
cook and serve on the day.
TIP! At our two hour finger food functions we would serve as much food as you
have on a plate at a spit roast function however it is served over the two hours. If your function
is for hungry people expecting a meal e.g. a wedding, you would be better advised to choose a roast
style meal where your guests receive a large meal quickly. Please ask
Travel Fees As we serve functions all over Melbourne we have a travel fee which
goes towards the cost of getting our staff on site for their wages, fuel and car use. Click here to see travel fees for your suburb.
What do I do now?
If you would like to book please click on the tab below for your booking form. We process
bookings on Mondays and Thursdays then send you a confirmation email along with your invoice. We
require a 30% deposit on booking. When booking your function only an estimate of your guests is
required. No later than 5 working days prior, usually Monday, you must ring if you want to
change your head count. If we have not heard from you we will assume that your estimate
number is your final figure. Please DO NOT RING after this time as we will have done all our
calculations, staff roster, orders. Fresh stock can not be sent back. Any changes after this time
incur a $25 charge, in some cases we may be able to add heads to your function,
not reduce.
Tentative Booking.

that date and and we will hold it for you. If we dont receive a
booking form within 2 weeks we simply cancel your tentative. If we

Definate Booking.
By clicking the "booking form" below you are
committing yourself to a function with Hot Rods Roasts. If you are not
100% sure please do not procede. From this point we contact our staff to commit
their time to your function, organise your invoice, order stock and ask for 30%
deposit to be paid within 7 days. If you are only after a quote please see the

Terms, Conditions and FAQs
PAYMENT
Most customers pay once they have confirmed their final numbers. You can do this by direct bank
transfer, credit card over the phone or drop in with cheque or cash. Keep in mind that although it
can be extremely hard to estimate numbers especially at 21st and clubs, most of the time it gets
cheaper if you order more.
PRICING and QUOTES are subject to change in the event of unforeseen
circumstances effecting business eg flooding, fires etc. If your quote has changed you have the
option to withdraw reclaiming monies paid minus $100 handling fee.
SERVING TIME. It is always best to set your serving time later than usual as people are
always late and not everything goes to plan! We arrive about 30 mins prior to serving according to
the size of your function.
HOW MUCH FOOD IS THERE?At finger food functions we bring far more than needed so we can
offer as much of a guest’s favourite as required. As we do these functions every week we will know
how many people you have. If you have more people than you have paid for we will leave early or you
can pay for the extras. In the event you have less people we will leave some food pro rata for
you.
MISCELLANEOUS
Hot Rod’s Roasts reserves the right to refuse a booking or to serve, eg rude or drunk guests.
Hot Rod’s Roasts is fully insured for public liability, takes much care but no responsibility.
DEPOSIT
Deposits are non refundable on cancellation. You have 7 days from receiving your invoice to confirm
your booking by paying your deposit. If we have not received a deposit in 7 days your function is
automatically suspended to make way for another booking.
ALLERGIES
Hot Rod's Roasts food may contain products that could cause an allergic reaction and take no
responsibility in this case. Some of our food contains wheat, eggs, nuts and milk. We have a list
of many of our ingredients available but in not conclusive as suppliers change their ingredients
regularly.
PEAK PERIODS
We have a minimum of 60 heads for a served function for many dates in our peak times, we will
notify you of this on booking. If your head count drops the minimum we can charge is for 60 in this
case.
QUESTIONS?Please feel free to contact us over any queries you may have. It is often
better to write down your queries over a couple of days and ask them in one go instead of
repeatedly ringing . If you are a school or club, nominate one person to be in charge of
communications with us as we often get several people ringing from one place.
